Gracias a las acciones de los cuerpos de seguridad establecidas en el Plan Patria Segura, el gobierno revolucionario de Yelitza Santaella a través de la Policía Socialista del Estado Monagas (PoliMonagas), arrestó a un presunto microtraficante de droga en el sector Las Terrazas, parroquia La Cruz, en el municipio Maturín, identificado como José Ramos Pantoja Vera de 35 años de edad.
El coronel (GNB) José Ángel González Espín, Secretario de Prevención y Seguridad Ciudadana, también director del referido cuerpo policial, informó que el presunto delincuente al verse descubierto por la comisión policial lanzó una bolsa con los 12 envoltorios de la supuesta droga, a un terreno cercano.
“A eso de las 10 y 40 minutos de la mañana de este jueves, en sus labores de patrullaje enmarcadas en el Plan Patria Segura, la comisión de Polimonagas adscrita a la parroquia La Cruz, municipio Maturín, realizaba su recorrido cuando visualizó a un individuo que se trasladaba de forma sospechosa en una unidad de mototaxi que se desplazaba por la calle principal de Las Terrazas. Según cuenta el testigo (Chofer), que el sujeto al ver la unidad patrullera, le pidió que avanzara con mayor velocidad y en ese instante los uniformados dieron la voz de alto. El sujeto al verse sorprendido, lanzó hacia un terreno cercano una bolsa que contenía 12 envoltorios de la presunta droga denominada Marihuana”, explicó el funcionario.
Pantoja Vera se encuentra detenido en los calabozos de PoliMonagas a la orden de la Fiscalía Vigésima Primera del Ministerio Público.
