en casa ante Zulia FC

Prensa Monagas Sport Club.- .El Monagas Sport Club perdió por primera vez como local en la reciente edición del Torneo Clausura del balompié criollo. Los monaguenses cayeron 0-1 ante el Zulia FC, que logró llevarse tres puntos gracias a Sergio Unrein quien logró batir al meta local cuando quedaban pocos minutos para terminar el compromiso.
Este revés deja a los Guerreros del Guarapiche en el 5to puesto de la tabla en el Clausura y de 16 en la tabla acumulada. Los pupilos de Jhonny Ferreira siguen fuera de la zona del descenso con 35 unidades, un punto más que Portuguesa que ocupa la decimoséptima plaza.
En la primera mitad, ambas escuadras no pudieron hacerse daño, siendo Monagas quien gozó de la oportunidad más clara en los pies de Emilio Rentería. Ya en el complemento los de casa acorralaron al conjunto petrolero contra su arco, obligando al estratega zuliano César Marcano a defenderse cerca de su guardameta.

El Monagas Sport Club regresa mañana a los entrenamientos para preparar su próximo encuentro. Los de Ferreira recibirán el próximo domingo a Trujillanos en la fecha 23 de la competición.
