Romer Badell / Prensa Gobernación de Monagas.- El nuevo Laboratorio de Ortoprótesis del Hospital Universitario “Doctor Manuel Núñez Tovar”, ubicado en la ciudad de Maturín, brindará al pueblo venezolano la posibilidad de adquirir gratuitamente prótesis y ortesis que contribuyan a mejorar su movilidad y calidad de vida.
En esta fase de articulación con el Ministerio del Poder Popular para la Salud (MPPPS) a través del Programa Nacional de Atención en Salud para las Personas con Discapacidad (Pasdis), se logró emprender las labores de mecanización, recuperación e instalación de las unidades que servirán para el nuevo laboratorio que beneficiará a decenas de pacientes en el estado Monagas.
La jornada de trabajo se desarrolló con el apoyo del Dr. Junior López De Dios, Coordinador del Programa Musculo Esquelético, acompañado de Richard Rosales Técnico del Laboratorio de Ortesis y Prótesis, la coordinadora médica de los Programas de Salud de InsaMonagas, Dra. Yerica Alzolay, médicos del área, fisiatras, estudiantes y la presidenta del instituto único de salud, Dra. Aurora Nava.
La puesta en marcha de estos equipos y el mismo laboratorio repercutirá en la atención a las necesidades del pueblo. “Además de las prótesis realizaremos la rehabilitación y evaluación del paciente”, dijo De Dios.
El funcionario encargado del programa neuro músculo esquelético a nivel nacional señaló que estiman que estas prótesis tengan un costo promedio de cada uno de estos dispositivos está entre 1 millón 200 mil bs y 1 millón 300 mil bs. Las cuales se podrán realizar en la entidad con el propósito de beneficiar a quienes requieren de esta prótesis y no cuentan con los recursos necesarios para adquirirla en el sector privado”, aseguró.
Los equipos serán instalados en los nuevos espacios del laboratorio de Ortosis y prótesis del Humnt.
