Romer Ángel Badell /Prensa Gobernación.-El Ministerio del Poder Popular para la Salud a través del Instituto Único de Salud del estado Monagas (InsaMonagas), atiende a pacientes portadores del virus de inmunodeficiencia humana que asisten a las consultas en los hospitales “Dr. Luis González Espinoza” y “Dr. Manuel Núñez Tovar”, de Punta de Mata y Maturín, respectivamente.
El aporte suministrado por el ente ministerial, beneficiará a dos mil 300 personas con esta patología, quienes cuentan con su tratamiento antirretroviral, distribuido de forma gratuita desde el inicio de esta semana.
Así lo explicó el coordinador médico de Programa Regional de Atención VIH-Sida y Hepatitis, Marino Placeres, quien agregó que el despacho corresponde al presente mes, ratificando que todos los meses llega el tratamiento que necesitan los pacientes diagnosticadas con esta enfermedad.
Señaló que también llegó a la región un lote de preservativos, los cuales empezaron a ser distribuidos de manera inmediata por el personal de salud entre los hombres que integran este programa de atención.
Unas 2.300 personas reciben gratuitamente el tratamiento de inicio, seguimiento y rescate para enfermos con VIH-SIDA.
