Se profundizará en la importancia y responsabilidad del acto de amamantar para sensibilizar a la población sobre el tema
Romer Badell / Prensa Gobernación Bolivariana.- Con la promoción, sensibilización y orientación a las madres monaguenses, se inicia la Semana Mundial de la Lactancia Materna promovida por el Instituto Único de Salud del estado Monagas (InsaMonagas) a través de la Coordinación Regional del Programa de Lactancia Materna.
Las actividades se desarrollarán desde el 01 al 05 de agosto, en las instalaciones del hospital Universitario “Dr. Manuel Núñez Tovar”, donde se cumplirán charlas informativas al personal de salud para que conozcan la importancia y responsabilidad de la lactancia materna.
Así lo dio a conocer la licenciada Yris Meza, coordinadora del programa en Monagas, quien aseguró que las actividades busca fomentar la sensibilización en la sociedad, para lograr que se imponga por todos los medios el acto del amamantamiento que representa un beneficio a los niños.
La Semana Mundial de la lactancia materna es una estrategia para promocionar esta práctica como la manera óptima de alimentación del lactante, ideada por La Alianza Mundial Pro Lactancia Materna (WABA) y se trata de una movilización social alrededor del tema.
Las actividades se cumplirán en el Banco de Leche Humana del Humnt y el colegio de Médicos, para la promoción de esta noble tarea. La coordinadora Yris Meza, aseguró que “la leche materna se caracteriza por brindar el exacto equilibrio de macronutrientes (proteínas, hidratos de carbono, lípidos), vitaminas, minerales y elementos traza que se requieren para un adecuado desarrollo anatómico y funcional del niño”.
Cronograma
- Martes 2 se realizarán charlas en sala de parto del humnt
- Miércoles 03 charla a las madres de los niveles 2 y 3 Pediatría médica y quirúrgica
- Jueves 04 difusión y orientación a los medios de comunicación
- Viernes 05 acto de grado en niños con lactancia materna educativa en el colegio de médicos
