Las cifras de embarazos en adolescentes encienden las alertas de la sociedad y las autoridades de salud regional
Prensa Gobernación de Monagas / Romer Ángel Badell.- El Instituto Único de Salud del estado Monagas (InsaMonagas) a través del Programa Salud Sexual Reproductiva adscrito al Ministerio del poder popular para la Salud, avanza en la formación de los preventores de salud sexual en las escuelas y liceos para promover la sensibilización y la orientación necesaria a los jóvenes del Estado.
Así lo explicó el médico coordinador del programa, el doctor Hugo Contreras, quien aseguró que en la entidad se han formado 360 Preventores de Salud Sexual en las escuelas y liceos, quienes han servido de portavoces y multiplicadores de la información a los niños y jóvenes de las diferentes instituciones educativas para que asuman con responsabilidad la actividad sexual a temprana edad.
Contreras, aseguró que desde la coordinación se fomenta la orientación, educación y concientización de los educandos para alcanzar la atención integral de la familia desde el acto sexual hasta la formación del niño en edad de gestación.
“Estamos asumiendo nuevos retos porque actualmente tenemos un bombardeo de información que desvirtúa el acto sexual, por eso le estamos hablando de forma directa pero pedagógica a los estudiantes para estimular la prevención y la promoción de salud y lograr que los nuevos adultos sepan su responsabilidad en el momento del acto sexual”, dijo.
El médico coordinador del Programa Salud Sexual Reproductiva, aseguró que las cifras en la actualidad son elocuentes al punto que suman unas 1.471 jóvenes menores de 19 años embarazadas al mes de mayo, “cifra esta que nos llama la atención porque es un compromiso de todos, no es un problema del sector salud que no entrega preservativos o anticonceptivas, es un problema social que los padres, madres y representantes, la sociedad, la iglesia y todos debemos asumirlo y estos preventores son parte de nuestras estrategias para disminuir las cifras en los adolescentes”.
Estas declaraciones las ofreció el doctor Hugo Contreras, Coordinador del Programa Salud Sexual Reproductiva de InsaMonagas durante su participación en el programa Primero Noticias conducido por el licenciado Luis Bustamante a través de Max Televisión, en la cual hizo un llamado a la juventud monaguense a sumarse a la responsabilidad sexual para evitar enfermedades y embarazo precoz.
