Ante esta situación la DRS a través de a Gerencia Médica y con el apoyo de los médicos comprometidos con la salud, decidieron atender las consultas que fueron abandonadas por los residentes mientras se canalizan las sanciones disciplinarias e institucionales que se deban tomar por atentar contra la vida de los pacientes en el referido centro de salud.
Al respecto la directora del CCO “Dr. Miguel Hernández”, Jenny Hernández, explicó que la atención a los pacientes del área de triaje especializado se mantendrá hasta reactivar las consultas con los médicos residentes “quienes tienen un deber con su compromiso social y como trabajadores de la salud”, dijo la galena mientras pasaba la consulta durante la mañana de este lunes.
“Estamos trabajando para garantizar las condiciones mínimas de trabajo en todas las áreas, comenzando por el relanzamiento de las consultas y ahora las mejoras en los consultorios, además hemos realizado mesas de trabajo con todo el personal para atender las debilidades y solucionarlas de acuerdo a las posibilidades y los recursos del nivel central y regional; es decir, que estamos trabajando y no se justifica acciones de esta naturaleza que van en perjuicio de nuestros pacientes, además no es un problema de ayer sino que tiene dos años y ahora llama la atención que quieran hacer estos. Lamentablemente estos médicos residentes actúan de forma desproporcionada al suspender el triaje de consulta especializada y nosotros decidimos salir al paso y asumir las consultas mientras las autoridades de salud toman cartas en este asunto”.
La directora junto a otros dos galenos asumieron la contingencia, “porque los residentes han exigido que quieren ver un número mínimo de pacientes”, cosa que no está establecido en el área de salud pública “además de incumplir con el horario de trabajo”, sin embargo los acuerdos previos no fueron acatados e iniciaron estas acciones desestabilizadoras.
“Ellos no están en disposición de pasar las consultas porque no tienen aires acondicionados; pero nos llama la atención que no es una situación puntual, sino que lleva dos años y no fue resuelta, ahora quieren que en menos de un mes se consigan todos los beneficios. Por su parte la Gerente Médico de la DRS, Dalila Rosillo, estuvo inspeccionando las áreas del CCO “Dr. Miguel Hernández”, para avanzar en los procedimientos legales que permita atender la contingencia, a la espera que los médicos residentes se pongan a derecho por su falta.
Mientras se logran los acuerdos se habilitaron nuevos espacios para canalizar las consultas a los pacientes cardiópatas que acuden del estado Monagas y del interior del país.
“Estamos abierto al diálogo, pero no permitiremos acciones de este tipo, porque somos médicos comprometidos con vocación que nos debemos a nuestros pacientes y esperamos que sean amonestados quienes incumplieron porque sencillamente queremos trabajar por la salud de nuestra gente”, concluyó la médico.
