Jesús Marchán/Prensa Gobernación.- Gracias a la labores de mantenimiento impulsadas por el gobierno revolucionario de Yelitza Santaella, las dos ondas tropicales que se desplazan por el oriente del País y han producido precipitaciones en las últimas 72 horas, no han generado afectaciones en la entidad monaguense, según reportes de Protección Civil Monagas.
Raúl González, director de la referida institución de seguridad y prevención en la región, informó que en los últimos dos días, en Monagas han caído aproximadamente 48,8 milímetros de agua por metro cuadrado.
“En las últimas 72 horas, se han generado precipitaciones producto de dos ondas tropicales que se desplazan por la región oriental y gracias a las acciones del gobierno revolucionario, no hay familias afectadas en ninguna zona de la entidad monaguense”, dijo.
Caños y drenajes
González instó al ayuntamiento del municipio Maturín, a revisar y realizar el mantenimiento necesario en caños y drenajes del casco central de la ciudad capitalina.
“La Gobernación de Monagas ha realizado labores de mantenimiento en los caños de la entidad con la participación de 79 personas y 10 camiones Volteo, los cuales ha permitido la ejecución en la limpieza de 9,5 kilómetros de canales y la extracción de más de 12 toneladas de escombros extraídos”, manifestó.
Reiteró que la Alcaldía de Maturín no ha ejecutado labores de limpieza de drenajes en el casco central de esta ciudad, específicamente en las avenidas Bolívar, Juncal, Alirio Ugarte Pelayo, Cruz Peraza y Rivas.
Niveles de los ríos
Como consecuencia de las precipitaciones acontecidas durante los últimos días en la entidad monaguense, el Director de Protección Civil indicó que los ríos mantienen su nivel en total normalidad.
“En el caso de algunos caños de Maturín, se observó un incremento 60 por ciento en La Muralla, 50 por ciento en Los Godos y Sabana Grande. En relación a los ríos, Amana incrementó su nivel en un 10 por ciento y en el resto de la entidad se reporta total normalidad”, precisó González.
Prevención
La autoridad de PCAD Monagas hizo un llamado a los ciudadanos y ciudadanas y no arrojar desperdicios en caños y quebradas para evitar cualquier tipo de desbordamientos.
“Actuemos con conciencia, no es posible que luego de la limpieza del caño ubicado en el sector Primero de mayo, donde se extrajeron hasta chatarras de vehículos, nuevamente observamos que han arrojado hasta carros picados , lo cual afecta la corriente de agua”, alertó González.
