Autoridades desmiente la información sobre los decesos ocurridos en la entidad por falta de medicamentos
Prensa Gobernación de Monagas / Romer Ángel Badell.- El Ministerio del PPP la Salud a través de la Dirección Regional de Salud (DRS) en el estado Monagas, garantiza a los mil 700 pacientes del Programa Nacional de VIH/SIDA, infecciones de transmisión sexual (ITS) y Hepatitis el tratamiento de antiretrovirales en la entidad, pese a la guerra mediática impuesta por la oposición venezolana.
Así lo dio a conocer el coordinador del Programa en Monagas, ITS – Sida y Hepatitis, Marino Placeres, quien aseguró que en la región no ha ocurrido ningún deceso por falta de medicamentos en los últimos meses, desconociendo así las recientes declaraciones que desvirtúan el trabajo que se desarrolla en el Estado.
Placeres, aseguró además que en la actualidad se cuenta con el tratamiento para los mil 700 pacientes que existen en control, además se está garantizando la lactancia artificial para los niños nacidos de madres portadoras del virus.
“Estamos trabajando al punto que le garantizamos el tratamiento y el medicamento a la mujer embarazada y a todos los pacientes, por ello nos llama la atención estas declaraciones que más que ayudar al programa ejemplifican otro ataque sistematizado de los factores externos para con el sistema de salud nacional”, dijo.
El médico coordinador aseguró además que la entidad cuenta con el cupo completo para la carga viral hasta el mes de diciembre y los kit para las pruebas especializadas; es decir, que todos los medicamentos antirretroviral e infecciones oportunas están en Monagas; además de los 7 especialistas adultos y el pediátrico para la atención a los pacientes.
Jornada formativa
En otro orden de información el coordinador del programa Nacional de VIH/SIDA, infecciones de transmisión sexual (ITS) y Hepatitis, que se desarrollará el 17 de mayo un Foro – Charla informativa para la prevención del virus del SIDA, promovida por los médicos residentes de postgrado de infectología del HMNT.
Destacó que para este 23 de mayo se estará realizando una caminata en el marco de Día de la prevención escolar del VIH, con la presencia de unos 2.000 estudiantes de la región.
Esta caminata se realizará desde el hospital universitario Dr. Manuel Núñez Tovar hasta la plaza El Estudiante, para culminar con actividades culturales y recreativas.
