Un total de siete nuevas Bases de Misiones Socialistas fueron inauguradas por la gobernadora revolucionara Yelitza Santaella en las parroquias La Pica y Las Cocuizas de Maturín, durante su programa radial “Conversando con Yelitza”, número 69, en el cual estuvo acompañada por los candidatos de la patria de Monagas para los próximos comicios del 6 de diciembre y los habitantes de la zona.
Santaella recordó que estas Bases de Misiones han sido posibles gracias a la revolución, y se encuentran en los lugares más humildes para brindar atención primaria a las familias, contando con módulos de salud, formación y capacitación.
“A pesar de la Guerra Económica, y gracias a nuestro presidente Nicolás Maduro, seguimos trabajando para el pueblo, continuando con el legado de nuestro comandante Chávez”, expresó.
La mandataria regional en compañía de los candidatos Euribes Guevara, Carlos Flores, Ana Fuentes y Gladys Barreto, inauguró la Base de Misión Socialista en El Carital, donde serán atendidas unas 560 familias de esa localidad.

En la parroquia Las Cocuizas, la Gobernadora inició su recorrido por la comunidad “Fuente de Paz”, donde puso en funcionamiento la Base de Misión “Cilia Flores”, que atenderá a unas 250 familias. Posteriormente estuvo en las comunidades Vista Morichal, Colinas del Sur, Campo Alegre, Virgen del Carmen y Brisas del Guarapiche, beneficiando a un estimado de 2.070 familias que habitan en estos sectores.
La construcción de estos nuevos espacios para el pueblo estuvo a cargo de las Fuerzas Armadas Nacionales Bolivarianas (FANB), con el apoyo de la PDVSA socialista, la Gobernación de Monagas y la Misión Barrio Nuevo, Barrio Tricolor, y estiman que serán atendidas más de 11 mil personas.
Hasta la fecha, Monagas cuenta con 70 Bases de Misiones Socialistas en funcionamiento, además de otras cinco que están en construcción y 14 más en fase de acabado, para totalizar las 89 que se tienen planificadas en principio para la entidad.
